Capabilities
Metal Fabrication Capabilities — Cut, Form, Weld, Finish
Eight in-shop capabilities cover the bulk of structural and industrial metal fabrication scopes. Where a job needs specialty processes outside this set, we coordinate with trusted subcontractors and bring the workflow back in-house at the finishing stage.
Cut
Laser & Plasma Cutting
Flat plate, profile, tube and structural section cutting. Laser tube cutter handles CHS up to 900 mm OD.
Cut
Drilling & Punching
CNC drilled bolt holes, slot patterns and notch features on structural members and plate work.
Form
Rolling & Bending
Plate and section rolling for curved beams, ring frames and architectural curves. Press brake folding to drawing spec.
Form
Press & Forming
Press brake folding for brackets, base plates, gussets and connection components.
Join
Structural Welding
AS/NZS 1554.1 SP-grade welds for primary structural connections by trade-qualified welders (MEM30305 or equivalent).
Join
Bolted Connections
High-strength bolting to AS/NZS 1252 — bolted cleat plates, splice connections, base plate anchorages.
Finish
Hot-Dip Galvanising
Sub-contracted hot-dip galvanising to AS/NZS 4680 with coating thickness certification. Bundled into the handover pack.
Finish
Paint & Coating
Two-pack paint, powder coat and primer systems to architect's specification. Dry-film thickness recorded.

- UB · UC · PFC structural sections
- RHS · SHS · CHS hollow sections
- Plate up to 25 mm thick
- Flat bar, angle, equal & unequal
- Grade 300 / 350 to AS/NZS 3679
Stainless Steel
Architectural & food-grade
- 304 / 316 grade sheet and plate
- Tube and pipe
- Hospitality and food-processing fabrications
- Coastal and corrosive-environment work
Aluminium
Lightweight structural
- 5083 / 6061 plate and section
- Architectural framing
- Transport and trailer fabrications
- Lightweight industrial structures

Who We Fabricate For
Industries We Fabricate For
Six audience types make up most of our fabrication workload. If you're sending engineered drawings and a B2B order, we're set up for the scope.
Commercial Builders
Multi-storey, retail, office and hospitality structural steel packages — tender-ready quotes with AS/NZS 5131 CC2 documentation.
Industrial Builders
Portal frames, mezzanines, crane gantries and warehouse fabrications. Plant skids, conveyor frames and equipment mounts.
Residential Builders
Custom homes, extensions and multi-unit developments. Engineered beams, columns, base plates and connection brackets.
Architects & Designers
Exposed structural steel, architectural feature fabrications, finish-spec'd connection details for design-led builds.
OEM Manufacturers
Run-rate fabrications for product assemblies — trailer chassis, equipment frames, machinery components, plant skids.
Plant Maintenance
One-off replacement parts, repair fabrications, custom retrofits where the original part isn't sourceable off-the-shelf.
Quality & Compliance
AS/NZS Standards We Fabricate To
Every fabrication package is built to AS/NZS 5131 Construction Category 2 by default. Welding to AS/NZS 1554.1 SP-grade. Mill certificates, weld inspection notes and finish records bundled into a Manufacturer's Data Report at dispatch.
AS/NZS 1554.1
Welding Standards & Welder Qualifications
Trade-qualified welders, SP-grade welds for primary structural connections, third-party NDT where engineer-specified. Trade certifications on file.

Metal Fabrication FAQ
Five questions builders, OEMs and project managers ask when sending us a first fabrication job.
What's your minimum project size?
We're set up for commercial-scale fabrication packages — not single brackets or one-off retail jobs. Tender packs, multi-tonne structural steel scopes and engineered industrial fabrications sit in our sweet spot.
Do you supply the steel or do I bring my own?
Both options. We can supply from our stock or fabricate to your supplied material. Either way, mill certificate is recorded against the job for traceability.
What standards do you fabricate to?
AS/NZS 5131 Construction Category 2 by default for structural steel. Welding to AS/NZS 1554.1 SP-grade. CC3 available where engineer-specified for crane-loaded or fatigue-critical structures.
Can you deliver to site?
Yes — crane-truck delivery across Melbourne metro from our Dandenong workshop. Larger packages dispatched with traffic-management coordination where the site needs it.
What documentation do I get at handover?
A Manufacturer's Data Report (MDR) — mill certificates, dimensional check, welder details, visual inspection notes, third-party NDT (where engineer-specified) and coating records. Handed over at dispatch.
